Hollyhock in Washington

The original structure, two rooms on each floor, was constructed in East Wilkes County in 1800 by John Dyson. About 1839 the house was relocated to it's present location with 2 additional rooms and the columns added. In 1865, a the end of the war, it was the headquarters of Confederate General Braxton Bragg. In 1872, additional rooms were added.
