Near Ball Ground GA
Ran across an interesting building last week near Ball Ground. I thought it was a barn but it was more of a general store in its day. It was sort of a supply store for miners. As I learned from the building owner, that area of Georgia was home to the largest gold mines in the state. He noted that Dahlonega had the richest mines in Georgia but this area had the largest mines. Chuck Evans
