Sweetwater State Park

This is all that remains of the Korean War surplus Army tank bridge that used to cross Sweetwater Creek in Sweetwater State Park. The bridge was completely destroyed (along with the 6 wooden bridges in the park) by the flood in September 2009, and these sections of the bridge remain lodged in the creek bed to this day. A bridge designed to hold a line of 48-ton M-46 tanks couldn't stand up to the awesome power of nature.
