The First Permanent Post Office in Dalton

It is a replica of Independence Hall and was constructed in 1910. It remained the post office until a new one was constructed in 1965. It later housed the administration of the Dalton City Schools. Today it houses the Carpet and Rug Institute offices.
It is in the heart of downtown Dalton at the corner of Hamilton and Crawford Streets.
