Two Years Ago Today in Eastman

Our family homestead built circa 1850. We had repaired, restored, and rescued all that we could. Termites and black mold made her terminal. Not willing to just let her go, we donated her to the fire department. 4 counties, 25 young firefighters, and 60+ fires provided and extra level of preparation and safety for the surrounding communities. She may have been a humble farmhouse, but she went out in a blaze of glory.
