The Cove Church

The Cove Church and Cemetery Association south of Dalton and near Resaca. It was formerly Cove Methodist Church but after that congregation dissolved, another began as the Cove Baptist Church. It is named such because it is adjacent to an area known as the Redwine Cove. The church was organized in 1867 and this building was built in 1939. It has many old graves in the cemetery but is still active today with many newer graves. My father and my grandparents are buried here, among many other relatives. My dad attended this church throughout his childhood as a Methodist.
