It was opened in the early 1920's in downtown by Benjamin & Rosa Landey- Jewish merchants who came to Valdosta all the way from Latvia! It stayed in business for many years until the 1970's, possibly the 1980's. It has now been closed for well over 30-40+ years. Sadly, the building has been vacant and deteriorating ever since the business closed.
