Panola Hall in Eatonton

Built in 1854 for plantation owner Henry Trippe and his new wife. It was sold to Dr. Benjamin Hunt of New York 1891 after he married a local debutante. He was a horticulturist and botanist know for his experiments with cross breeding plants, He became a very well liked citizen of Eatonton.
