Placed on the eastern abutment of the Tallulah Falls Railway trestle over Tallulah Lake in 1932. Now located inside Tallulah Gorge State Park, on land owned by Georgia Power in Rabun County.
Tallulah Falls Railway operated between 1871 and 1955. The line was troubled most of its existence, with two well-publicized trestle collapses. The first at Panther Creek in 1898, and the other at Hazel Creek in 1927. These incidents, plus financial instability, earned the line the nickname "Total Failure".
