The Taliaferro House in Eatonton

Built by noted local builder Lewis P Harwell in 1836. The house was owned by the family of Dr. Nisbet of Macon for over 60 years. The next owner, the Taliaferro's owned the house until Mrs. Taliaferro's death in 1952. At that time ownership was taken by the Methodist Church next door. The home has been renovated an expanded somewhat but many of the architectural details are the same as when it was built.
