Stumbling across an old cemetery in Thomas County this week, we discovered what seemed to be a forgotten grave site with a homemade headstone that had the handwritten name "VINIE DAVIS" on it, and only one date beneath her name: "SEP 12 1896" ...121 years ago this month.
