Worker's Cemetery at Pebble Hill Plantation

Hidden amid all the splendor and beauty at Pebble Hill Plantation is a true historical treasure - an unassuming little Worker's Cemetery with a quaint beauty and history all its own. Some carved cement headstones date back into the 1800s.

It is estimated that over 300 workers are buried here. Most were slaves who worked and lived at Pebble Hill Plantation. Some have small headstones and some do not. The cemetery is maintained and well kept.
