The Phillip Poullain House in Greensboro

It is uncertain when the Italianate structure was built but it was between 1853 and 1875. The land was purchased in 1842 by Dr. Thomas Poullain, a very wealthy planter and industrialist who lived adjacent to the property. He deeded the land to his son in 1853. His son sold the property in 1878 and it has changed hands several times since.
