Hamilton Baptist Church

It was established in 1829 not long after the city and Harris County was founded. It is one of the oldest congregations in the county. The church dominated the mostly rural county. In 1889 as the new church building was being costructed, the Pine Mountain Baptist Association was formed with Hamilton Baptist as the dominant player. In 1890 the present Victorian Style Church was dedicated and is still active today.
