This Was the Old Bryan Homestead in Marshallville

It was built by my great-great grandfather, John Lankston Bryan, son of Nathan Bryan. My mom was born (1931) in the front left corner room seen here in this picture. It no longer stands, but I have a brick from one of the fireplaces. Family graves and markers are still on the property as well.

An old wagon... I received this Radio Flyer for Christmas some 36 years ago from my grandparents. I am now raising my family on their homeplace and the wagon has been used by our 13 year old son and now our 2 year old twins.

My grandfather purchased this property for himself and his new bride, my grandmother, in January 1940. This old oak tree stands right in the center of the front yard where he built their home. Here is the tree 75 years later, in 2015, where my husband and I exchanged wedding vows. We currently reside here as well.
