Abandoned and partially dismantled railroad trestle in Athens (Clarke County). This was one of two trstles that belonged to the Central of Georgia in Athens. This trestle made up the south leg of a wye track to allow trains departing the Southern Depot to turn south on the C of G. That Depot still exists on the other side of the ex Seaboard/CSX track whose bridge is in the background. Southern Railway trains from the north also used this bridge to back into the depot. After the Southern and C of G dropped passenger service, this bridge was no longer needed and sat unused until being partially disassembled, but I don't know when
