This was the boyhood home of country singer "Whispering" Bill Anderson (it was actually his grandparents home but he lived with them for a time).
In 2007 a bank purchased this lot and the lot behind it to build a bank. The lot the house was on was to be used as a parking lot, the bank would be on the other lot. In the end the house was torn down and the extra parking lot was never bui...lt. It remains an empty weed-filled lot today.
