The Famous Weaver D's in Athens GA

An Athens fixture since 1978, it was just a local eats place with a very good following. The mainstay was ordering an Automatic, which was a set order. The phrase caught and they copyrighted the term "Automatic for the People" because everybody around town had caught on to the "Automatic". Then one day, a band named REM came and wanted permission to use the name for their next album and "Automatic for the People" and Weaver D's became famous around the world. Business was mighty good after that. Today, they still serve their Automatic but it is NOT on any major street. You might have to work a bit to find it.
