This picture of the Altamaha Apiaries was submitted by
Marie Dockery Medders and is the 6th posting of this picture. It is located in Wayne County in the Gardi Community and is often called "the Bee House" by locals. Brian Brown at Vanishing South Georgia http://vanishingsouthgeorgia.com/ said on his blog that it originally served as a general store and post office and the Fancy Honey sign was probably added in the 1940s. ( If you don't follow his pages you are missing out on a lot of good history and pictures!)
