...... In Baldwin County, we have the "State Lunatic, Idiot and Epileptic Asylum" .... established in 1842. This house of horrors was finally closed in 2010. I took this photo in 2011. It was also called the Milledgeville State Mental Facility and later Central State Mental Health. It also contained a forensic unit and section for the criminally insane.
