Bartow County
Found this out trainwatching last weekend in . It's in an area being logged. Looks like an old oven of some sort, maybe charcoal. Has a tree growing out of the top. Update...It is a cement kiln, in the 1840’s Charles Howard found a large quantity of stone good for making cement and started limited production. Production increased after the Civil War and it’s product was sought after nationwide. Howards cement was used in the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge and other buildings. In 1889 his son-in-law took control and added kilns. Production ended around 1911
