The JL Hudgins House in Hawkinsville

Older house with interesting Architecture.
Clinton M Bailey
Built between 1895 and 1900 by JL Hudgins. It took five years for Mr. Hudgins to locate the choicest lumber to be used in the home and another five years to construct it. Having completed the home he was only able to enjoy it for 6--8 years prior to his death. It may be the largest home in Hawkinsville; it has 12 rooms along with a huge center hallway called a "greeting room", full basement, large floored 3rd floor, and 4 1/2 bathrooms. There are 9 fireplaces including one in the basement. The basement was probably the original kitchen.https://issuu.com/billingsleymedia/docs/hawkinsville
