The Whitfield/Cabero House in Hawkinsville

Another interesting older house in Hawkinsville, Ga. It appears that this was a retirement home at one time (might still be)  The sign out front on the right is "Golden Age Retirement"
Clinton M Bailey

Built around 1902 by a Mr. Coney and was designed for cross ventilation throughout. Sold to J.J. Whitfield who was county commissioner. The Caberos later owned and modernized the house. Contains a grand staircase, a parlor, a dining room, sitting room, servants quarters, large hallways, 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. Known as the Whitfield/Cabero House.
