The Bona Allen Mansion in Buford
Built in 1911 by Bona Allen Sr. Mr. Allen at one time employed 3 quarters of all the people that lived in and around Buford at his Tannery. The Tannery was well know for it's leather products and saddles as being the finest around and many celebrities and dignitaries bought from his plant, one of his saddles was even on Roy Roger's horse. The Tannery was down the hill behind the mansion and burned in a huge fire in the early 80's. Now the home is an event facility and B&B..
