Fulton County GA
Back in the days of passenger trains, people often headed to the station to catch their train with a minumum time to spare because everybody knows we Americans don't like to wait. Frequently, they would have trouble crossing the tracks because another or the train they wanted blocked their way. Many towns and railroads cooperated to build pedestrian tunnels under the tracks that would allow them to avoid being stuck on the wrong side. My guess is this tunnel in Palmetto (Fulton County) was constructed around the time the road underpasses were built towards the end of WW1.
