Hollingsworth Fort
Hollingsworth Fort was first shown on a map of the Defensive Plan Western Frontier, Franklin County in 1793.
Fort Hollingsworth-White House was in the Cherokee Nation. When the boundary lines were redrawn, it was in Franklin County, then in Habersham County and finally in Banks County. There are several more old structures here as well as the grave of a Confederate soldier. I was there a few years ago, they accepted donations to help with the upkeep but since the link I had to its internet page is gone, I fear it may be closed ..... and that would be a shame.
