Built in the 1850s and originally comprised of 1500 plus acres and 100 slaves. Today 15 acres. House is set back from the road on a hill and can barely be seen. During the civil war this house was occupied by the Yankees but was not razed. I have heard that the mason symbol in the stairwell saved it. The original slave house is still standing as well
