The Plantation began in the 1820's. After fire destroyed the main house, the new mansion was built in 1936, totaling 26,000 sq.ft. of living space. It is open for public tours. (No photos allowed in the main house) Lots of grounds and other buildings on the property. We toured it recently. A Must See!
