This is a re-post of a picture I posted back in October. I'm posting this as an update. The sign was removed yesterday to be restored and placed at a business across the highway, the Cooperville Caboose. The lot where old restaurant is located was purchased by Dollar General and the sign and building were slatted for demolition. At least the iconic sign has been saved.

Update 10/11/2017 The last news I've heard on the sign is that it hasn't been restored and it is in question whether it ever will be. The FB page setup to follow the restoration progress is defunct.
