Historical Home in Carroll County

Just because this home doesn't scream eerie with overgrowth, collapsing walls, etc., does not mean this beautiful property hadn't been forgotten. I personally passed by it numerous times and thought it was occupied due to the well manicured lawn but it has been unoccupied for years. I had no idea how historical this beauty was to the community. And neither did many others. The grand property up th...e road (called A Place to Share) had often been mistaken as the The Hart House, probably due to the fact that it serves as an event venue while the Hart House simply looks like just an old house. And old it is! Said to have been built in 1824, it is one of the first structures built in Carroll Co. It's older than the county itself. This is the birth place of the first white baby in the county also. The property is extremely rich in history but last month a demo permit was issued to the owner (the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica - located next door). Costly structural problems and asbestos is what led the church to consider demo over preservation. Currently, many efforts are being attempted to save the structure. Within less than 60 days, in order to save it, there must be a plan to move it. I'm posting this property because it had been passed by and forgotten by so many. Until talks of demolition arose, there were no plans to preserve it and expose its history. Delete if not allow of course but if so, I'll post older photos and newspaper articles in the comments below it.
