The Summerville Central of Georgia Depot was built in 1918 and refurbished in 2007-08. It now houses the historical society and serves as the terminus of excursion trains from Chattanooga. On the day this was taken it was the beginning of the season and so the city had a bit of a festival to celebrate. A lot of people came from far and wide to see 2 steam engines running. Hard to believe this was a busy mainline at one time.
