Allen-Lee Memorial Methodist Church in Lone Oak

The currant sanctuary was built in 1939 but the church was originally established in 1844 as the Prospect Memorial Church. When the new church was built the name was changed to honor two of it's former members. (See the marker in comments). Lone Oak was originally called Fling Crossroads when first settled by some of my wife's ancestors, who relocated there from Greene County in the very early 1800's.
