This 40-foot-high stone tower was built by the WPA for the National Forest Service in 1936. Local craftsmen used native granite to construct the tower on Chenocetah Mountain, named with the Indian word meaning "see all around." http://www.exploregeorgia.org/listing/824-chenocetah-tower Samantha Hill
