The Cedars in Washington GA

The hill it was on was first a home site for Indians. It was settled by a French Nobleman named Anthony Poulain who helped Georgians during the revolutionary. He built a small home in 1793 that still exists. It was a one story and that part is visible behind the porch. The portion to the left was added in 1805 and the rest of the second story in 1885.
