The Lucas Theatre in Savannah
Arthur Lucas was a very industrious business man who had his hand in several industries, when he became involved in the fledgling motion picture business. He started the American Theater Company to open theaters in southern cities. He took over the old Odeon and Folly Theaters in Savannah before opening the Lucas in 1921. In the end he owned over 20 theaters yet this was the only one with his name. It's still open today for movies, plays and musical events.
