The Nolan House

Here is a picture I took of Nolan House that sits on Hwy 83 just out of Bostwick.  It was one of two houses that sat opposite each other on Nolan Plantation, which was owned by the Nolan Brothers. The other home across the road burned down some time ago. At its full glory, the plantation worked over 800 hands and 400 mules. It's a neat variation of an old four-over-four plantation house, and it can be seen in the opening minutes of the movie "My Cousin Vinnie," which was filmed around the Bostwick/Monticello area.
