Indian Mound Mansion on Jekyll Island

Originally built in 1892 by William Rockefeller, who built Standard Oil with his brother John D Sr. The mansion is named after an Indian Mound that was on the property. Originally thought to have human remains, upon investigation the mound was found to hold sea shells. Now part of the Jekyll Island Museum.
