Jefferson Hall Just East of Union Point

The tax records say it was built in 1818, but there is a historical reference to it being built in 1830. Either way this Antebellum home was on a large plantation owned at one time by the Hart family. One of the sons John C Hart was a judge . After saving his families property, his work in soil erosion control and replenishment made him one of the states leading conservationists.
