In 1927, the Georgia Railroad abandoned its Union Point and White Plains Railway branch between those 2 cities. The tax records show this house as being added to the county property tax records in White Plains. I'm not sure as I have never seen a picture of the White Plains Depot, but it's location, size and architectural details makes me think that this was the Depot for the railway.
