The Flying Wallendas

Karl Wallenda of The Flying Wallendas crossed the Tallulah Gorge in Georgia on a high wire on July 18, 1970. This is the no longer standing north tower where one end of the high wire was attached. Wallenda walked approximately 1000 feet above the gorge floor where he stopped halfway across and did a headstand.
