Grace Calvary Episcopal Church in Clarkesville
The congregation was founded and held it's first service on October 28th, 1838. It was the sixth Episcopalian parish in the state, even pre-dating Atlanta. The property for the church was purchased in 1839 and the church was dedicated in 1842. It is pretty much unchanged today and is the second oldest Episcopal Church in Georgia and believe to be the oldest church building of any denomination still n use in North Georgia.
