Martin GA

The significance of this building housing a business is that it is the former Martin Railroad Depot. Built in the 1870's when the Elberton Air Line Railroad was constructed between Elberton and Toccoa. This line was controlled by the Atlanta & Charlotte Air Line, a predecessor of the Southern Railway. The railroad closed the depot sometime in the late 40's or 50's.
