The Taylor-Grady House in Athens
Was built in 1839 by General Robert Taylor as a summer residence. He moved there from Savannah in the 1840's so his sons could attend UGA. William Grady bought the house in 1863 and his son Henry W Grady, lived there from 1865-1868. it stayed in the Grady family until 1872. Henry became the Managing Editor of the Atlanta Constitution.
