Built in 1839 in Fulton County. It was destroyed by Union troops in 1864. It is historically notable in that this was one of only two places where female, non-combatants were taken as prisoners of war by the Union (New Manchester Manufacturing Company mill inside what is now Sweetwater Creek State Park is the other).http://www.georgiaencyclopedia.org/articles/history-archaeology/deportation-roswell-mill-women
