The Mill at Hamburg Mill State Park

There has been a mill in the area since the 1820's, established by the Warthen family. The extant mill and dam was built by Cecil Gilmore Sr in the early 20's for milling and cotton ginning. The mill closed and conveyed to the state in the 1960's.
