The Sorrel-Weed House in Savannah

Built in 1840 for a French shipping magnate. His son Moxley Sorrel was one of Lee's Lieutenants and served with valor in the major campaign's of the Civil War and became a Brigadier General at 26. The home was purchased in 1859 by Henry D Weed. The opening seen of Forrest Gump was filmed here and it has been profiled on a couple of Ghost Hunter shows.
