This is the left front entrance to what people in Grady County affectionately call "Pope's Museum". Laura Pope Forrester created 200 statues from concrete, sand and reclaimed materials, and used them to decorate her yard and gardens and honor those whom she felt should not be forgotten. It was at one time considered one of the most unique museums in the USA, and was one of Georgia's first outdoor art sculptor gardens. A sad history followed her death, and there is very little creativity that remains compared to her original creation.
