There has been a mill on this property in Porterdale since 1831 when 2 men from Connecticut opened one. The current structure was constructed in 1899, It became the largest producer of twine in the world. The decline began in the 1960's and the mill closed in the early '70's. In 2006 it was redeveloped into loft apartments and studio's and thrives again today. Saved and re-purposed.
