Providence Canyon, known as one of Georgia's Seven Natural Wonders, is located in Providence Canyon State Park in Stewart County. The gullies were most likely caused by erosion due to poor farming practices in the 19th century. Also located in the state park is an abandoned homestead that contains approx. 12 rusty old cars and trucks from the 1950s. Park officials have decided not to try and remove them for fear of environmental damage and so they are being left as they are. Also known as Georgia's Little Grand Canyon, Providence is definitely worth a visit.
