Millstone Baptist Church

Located in what is now Oglethorpe County was organized in 1788 by two men well known in Baptist Church history in the state of Georgia, the Revs, Silas Mercer and Jeremiah Walker. At the time this colonial back country was being settled by Virginian's in a state land lottery. This church is the second to be on the site and was built in 1890.
